The checked-in editorial snapshot loads first and remains the durable public record. GDELT DOC 2.0 may add clearly labeled live candidates through a short-lived edge cache. Automated candidates can only enter as Signal; if edge discovery fails or times out, the editorial snapshot remains fully usable.
