WORK · BUILT IN THE OPEN

Work that keeps
looking.

Every project below is live, linked and described from its own record — what it is for, what it decided, and where it stops. No roadmaps dressed as releases.

CASE STUDIES ON THEIR OWN PAGES

SMALLER, STILL REAL

Decisions behind the surface.

CASE NOTES

EDITORIAL SYSTEM · 2026

One magazine, several ways of seeing.

The site had to hold essays, city records, moving image and printed editions without forcing every format into the same page. The shared masthead, one content graph and per-family art direction do that work now.

Intent
Make a mixed personal practice legible as one publication.
Role
Research, writing, art direction, interface design and implementation.
Result
A public archive with stable routes, seven open city records and fourteen essays.

CITY ARCHIVE · 2026

Let each city keep its weather.

Beijing, Shanghai, Xi’an, Xiamen, Hangzhou, Shenzhen and Chongqing use different color, pacing and image logic. Their shared chapter structure, literary spreads and return paths make the series readable as one body of work.

Intent
Record cities without flattening them into a tourism template.
Material
Photography, film, literature, field captions and editorial editions.
Decision
Consistency lives in structure; atmosphere remains city-specific.

DATA READING · 2026

Read the gap between headline and household.

The data desk places growth beside household pressure, employment, property, local finance and outside institutional readings. Charts appear where comparison helps; source notes remain attached to every claim.

Intent
Show what one national number cannot explain on its own.
Method
Source comparison, editorial synthesis, chart design and responsive longform.
Rule
Every visual must advance the reading or leave the page.

FILM ARCHIVE · 2026

Publish the text before the film exists.

Cinematic Poetry publishes 207 original prompts verbatim with their Color DNA — and says plainly that no video is published. Honesty about what an archive holds turned out to be its own design problem.

Intent
Make prompt-writing visible as creative work.
Rule
Never imply a screening room before there is a film.
Result
207 pages generated from one catalog, hash-verified on every release.
